Erica's lifelong passion for journalism was first sparked by her mother — a college and high school English educator who required that Erica keep a free-writing journal, read the classics and watch news programs. On this early foundation, Erica developed an obsession with fact-finding and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.
One of Erica's first on-air jobs in Los Angeles was for Kevin Pollak's This Week in Network as host of popular sports show This Week in Football (TWIF). As moderator, Erica led a panel of sports experts and bookies in discussions revolving around statistical analysis and betting odds. After TWIF's run, which included an iTunes Top-Rated Super Bowl podcasts nod, Erica appeared as an on-air contributor for Revolt TV.
Recognizing the importance of producing original content, Erica created and hosted pilot concept Girls Guide to GameDay, a pop-culture and entertainment show that seamlessly blended sports, fashion and music. She used momentum from Girls Guide and created The Morning Score, an entertainment news show that focused on gaming and on college and professional sports. The Morning Score's weekly, live broadcasts streamed on Universal Broadcasting Network from Los Angeles's Sunset Gower studios. Erica eventually parlayed her skills as a host and producer into the same positions at AfterBuzzTV for shows like Spotlight On and on the red carpet for the ESPYs.
Perhaps most notably, Erica has appeared frequently on CNN Domestic and CNN International as a socio-political commentator discussing topics like Donald Trump's infamous comments regarding NFL players kneeling during the national anthem and Sports Illustrated's controversial spread that featured nude models celebrating the #MeToo movement. CNN's sister network Headline News (HLN) has featured her commentary on topics ranging from musician Prince's untimely death to Miss America 2.0 eliminating its swimsuit competition. Erica also worked as an on-air correspondent for Phil DeFranco's YouTube news channel and recently appeared as a featured host on TEGNA's Daily Blast Live.
Currently, Erica is the lively on-camera host and reporter for FOX Bet Super 6, FOX Sports' partner sportsbook.
